About Andrews of Kent Removals & Storage Ltd
Andrews of Kent Removals & Storage Ltd is a family removals and storage business in the Thanet area of Kent. It grew out of Micro Removals, established in 1979 by two firemen who carried out removals in their downtime with one 7.5T lorry.
Allan bought the company with his friend John in 1989. By 1999 two lorries were running, and Allan's son Andy bought into the company, so that Allan and Andy Small became business partners. Andrews of Kent Removals & Storage was formed to run alongside Micro, and the vehicles were later rebranded in its livery. Allan's daughter Cara joined in 2004 to run the office and administration.
The business now runs 5 vehicles and employs around 10 staff, from larger warehouses with its own storage facilities. Moves go all over the UK and Europe, and to destinations such as the USA, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. The company is a member of the British Association of Removers and was a finalist for Mover of the Year on 3 occasions. It is also listed with Which? Endorsed Trader Recommendations. The firm's motto is Satisfied Customer's Are Our Future, and the family business has grown from one lorry to a fleet.
