About Bishop's Move Swindon
Bishop's Move is a removals and storage company based in Swindon with over 170 years of moving experience. Established in 1854 by JJ Bishop, the business is now run by the 6th generation of the Bishop family. It carries out home removals, business relocations, international shipping, packing services and secure storage for customers across the UK and Europe.
The company offers full packing or packing of delicate items only, china and glass packing, custom crates for antiques and artwork, and unpacking at the new property. Professional-grade packing boxes and wrapping materials made from sustainable resources are supplied for customers who prefer to pack themselves. Export packing services use heavy-duty materials and specialised techniques for items being shipped overseas, including pianos, chandeliers, statues and large artwork. The business also packs musical instruments, paintings, mirrors and books.
Bishop's Move operates from a facility in Swindon, easily accessible from the major industrial complexes. A free home survey is offered, during which a moving consultant assesses belongings, recommends packing services and provides a quote valid for one month. The Swindon branch is open 9 to 5. Bishop's Move was a founder of the British Association of Removers and has won an award for Removals Company from the Association of Relocation Professionals. The fleet of vehicles is fitted with satellite tracking systems.
