About Bishop's Move Tunbridge Wells
Bishop's Move is a family-run removals and storage company based in Royal Tunbridge Wells. Established in 1854 by Joseph James Bishop, the business is now in its sixth generation of family ownership and has over 170 years of moving experience. It offers house removals, packing services, secure storage, business relocation, employee relocation and international shipping across the UK and Europe.
The Tunbridge Wells branch serves customers across Kent, including Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Ashford, Faversham and Maidstone. A removals consultant visits the home to assess the move and provide a quote valid for one month. Packing services include full packing, china and glass packing, owner-packing with supplied boxes, and custom crates for antiques and artwork. Unpacking on arrival is also offered. For international moves, export packing uses heavy-duty materials and specialised techniques for fragile and high-value items, including pianos, chandeliers and sculptures.
Storage is held in a modern, purpose-built warehouse with 24/7 security, and items can be collected and delivered. The business is a member of the British Association of Removers and has won an award for Removals Company from the Association of Relocation Professionals for two years running. Removals insurance is available. The Tunbridge Wells office is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm, and a free moving survey can be arranged.
