About Britannia Lanes Removals Cornwall
Britannia Lanes Removals is a family-run removals and storage business based in Truro, covering Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. The business moves households and commercial offices across the UK and internationally, and it also provides container storage and packing services. House removals range from local moves within Cornwall to relocations across the country and shipping to overseas destinations.
Packing services include full house packing, part packing where customers pack some items themselves, and owner-packed service where the business supplies materials only. Fragile items such as china, glassware, mirrors and paintings are packed by the professional team, and special wardrobe cartons keep clothes hanging during the move. Mattresses and sofas are placed in protective bags, and televisions are padded or packed in original boxes. Packing cartons are made from 100% recycled materials.
Britannia Lanes was founded in 1974 as Lanes Storage and Removals, originally offering storage in Launceston before relocating to Truro. In 1990 the business joined Britannia Movers, a national co-operative of family-led removal companies. The business remains under family leadership in its third generation. Recent expansion has added self-storage sites in Falmouth, Hayle and St Austell. The firm operates a fleet of 40 vehicles. A free pre-move survey is offered, and packing is quoted alongside the removal cost as one figure for the whole job.
