About Callan Removals
Callan Removals is a family-run removal business in Kilmarnock. It is a third generation business with 90 years of removal experience. The firm moves household contents, furniture, appliances and boxes for domestic customers, and it specialises in antiques, fine art and piano moving.
The services listed are packing, unpacking, furniture wrapping and transport. Packing is conducted one day before removal using protective materials and techniques, and most houses can be packed in a single day. Clothing on hangers is transferred into portable wardrobes with rails, and other clothing is packed into suitcases. Furniture is wrapped in waterproof stretch covers, quilted bags for televisions and pianos, and thick soft removal blankets. Export wrap is available for overseas shipping and fragile items. Kitchen appliances such as cookers, washing machines, fridges and freezers are disconnected and drained before removal. Unpacking services are offered at the destination, with boxes placed in relevant rooms or fully unpacked and items placed into cupboards under customer instructions. All boxes and packing materials are removed afterwards.
Callan Removals operates a modern fleet of purpose-built vehicles and secure heated storage facilities. An estimator visits to assess the removal and provide a free quotation. All services are insured. The business is built on old-fashioned values and offers advice alongside removal services.
