Evans International Removals & Storage

About Evans International Removals & Storage

Evans International Removals & Storage is a removals business in Harrogate run by Managing Director Val Evans. The business carries out residential moves, commercial and office moves, and international removals to Europe and beyond. Services include unpacking assistance, where packaging and rubbish are removed so clients can organise their belongings, and a Sensitive Removal Service for moves following bereavement, illness, disability or vulnerability.

The business covers Harrogate, Ripon, Wetherby, Knaresborough and across the UK and worldwide. Work begins with a pre-move survey visit to the client's home to assess what needs moving, identify any challenges, and understand the client's needs. Evening visits and video surveys over FaceTime or Skype are available for clients outside the Harrogate area. The team dismantles large furniture, supplies specialised packing materials and lifting equipment where needed, and unpacks to surface level, removing all packaging and rubbish. Furniture is reassembled, pictures are hung and items are put away on request through the Sensitive Package service.

Val Evans merged two existing removals companies and is the only fully HGV1 qualified female boss of a removals company in the North of England. She is involved in day-to-day operations and enforces operating standards called The Evans Way across all jobs. The business takes care of clients' possessions and their wellbeing during the moving process.
