Good Sorts

About Good Sorts

Good Sorts is a removals and sorting business in Henley-on-Thames, founded by Caroline Hartley. The business helps clients manage moving house, dispersing the contents of a home or sorting possessions. The team works through a four-stage process: listening to understand what the client wants to achieve, sorting possessions into clear categories with colour-coded tags and labels, allowing clients time to decide what to do with each item, and then dispersing possessions according to those decisions, which may involve packing, coordinating sales or charity collections, or putting items back in storage.

Every member of the Good Sorts team has been hand-picked for discretion and a positive approach. Each team member receives initial training and attends regular refresher courses. The business can provide at least 10 years of references and an enhanced DBS check for each team member. Full details of insurance cover are available on request.

Caroline Hartley has a varied professional background, including ten years as a project manager on building and interior design projects, several years as an archivist and researcher at Sotheby's, and experience as an Events Coordinator at the Institute of Directors. The business was created after Caroline saw the strain her mother faced when moving from London to Henley-on-Thames and realised how much difference trained, empathetic support with the right equipment could make to someone in that situation.
