About Herbert Davis Removals

Herbert Davis Removals is a Gloucester removals and storage business established in 1919. Kathy Lugg and Andrew Ford have operated the company since June 1998, and both worked for the Davis family beforehand. The business provides household, business and industrial removals from Gloucester, Cheltenham, the Forest of Dean and Cirencester, as well as European and international moves.

Domestic removals range from a city centre flat to a farmhouse in the Forest. Business removals cover offices, shops and industrial sites and are planned around the working week. Trained estimators visit to discuss what needs to move, the size of vehicle required, timing, and options such as packing services and storage.

Storage is held in a locked, alarmed warehouse in central Gloucester, in purpose built storage containers, for periods of different lengths. Items can be wrapped and packed, and the containers are brought to the new home or business when needed. A full collection and delivery service is offered to domestic and business customers.

The business also arranges shipping worldwide. Everything is wrapped and packed before it goes into a container, and shipping of cars can be arranged. For overseas moves, the business appoints a Destination Partner to handle customs clearance and delivery, and temporary storage in Gloucester can be arranged. Free quotes are offered.
