About Housleys Removals
Housleys Removals is a removals and storage business based in Sheffield, established in 1970. It carries out domestic and commercial moves for households and businesses across Sheffield, Chesterfield, Worksop, Bakewell and throughout South Yorkshire. The services listed are house removals, office removals, packing and unpacking, containerised storage, document storage, warehousing, international removals, disposal services and document shredding.
The business operates a fleet of vans and lorries. Packing materials supplied include bubble wrap, corrugated cartons, tape and computer protectors, and plastic moving crates are available to hire or buy. Items are wrapped and secured before loading into sealed containers, inventoried and transported to the storage centre. The warehouse is maintained daily at ambient temperature and has annual fire risk assessments. Storage is charged by the day, week, month or year.
Housleys Removals became part of the Specialised Movers group in 2013. The business holds accreditations including BAR and CHAS. The fleet includes electric hybrid vehicles to reduce carbon emissions, and packing materials and crates are made from recycled materials. The storage centre has closed circuit video surveillance, intruder alarms, locked roller shutters and perimeter fencing. Kevin Housley and his nephew Peter Housley are actively involved in running the business. NHS employees receive a 5% discount on all services. Ten free boxes are offered with every house move booked, and confidential documents can be shredded.
