About JA Steel & Son
J.A. Steel & Son, listed as JA Steel & Son, is a removals and storage company in Enfield with a history going back to 1899. The site describes clients ranging from private home owners moving in the UK to companies and their employees relocating globally. More than 70% of its business comes from previous customers or personal recommendation.
The company is a member of the British Association of Removers, FEDEMAC and CHAS, and it is accredited to BS EN 12522.
The services listed are office moves and business relocations, laboratory relocations, specialist medical equipment moves, hospital ward relocation, furniture reuse and relocation, recycling, handling of books, archives and collections, and confidential document shredding. Household storage uses purpose built containers that are loaded at the home, sealed on site and carried in custom built vehicles. Each container measures 8ft by 5.5ft by 7ft and holds 250 cubic feet. Every item is listed on a numbered inventory, and a copy goes to the customer.
Warehouses are dry and alarmed, with CCTV and monitoring. Business archive storage offers 25,000 square feet of space, a temperature controlled environment, 24 hour CCTV and a Red Care alarm system, with access from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. A free survey is offered.
