Keans Removals & Storage Ltd

About Keans Removals & Storage Ltd

Keans Removals & Storage Ltd is a removal company based in Hatfield that operates across Hertfordshire and North London. It carries out house removals, office removals, piano removals and furniture clearances for homes, flats and businesses. The business also runs a packing service and operates a containerised storage facility.

For removals, Keans uses mattress and sofa bags, padded TV covers and other protective materials when transporting furniture. Packing services include wrapping glass and china in soft tissue paper or acid-free bubble wrap, wrapping pictures, televisions and computers, and marking boxes with contents and room labels. Packing materials such as boxes, tape and bubble wrap are supplied, or customers can pack themselves.

The storage facility holds possessions in 250 cubic feet containers, with each container holding only one customer's items. All containers are warehoused and protected by 24-hour CCTV surveillance. Household effects are carefully wrapped before storage. Flammable items such as gas canisters, petrol cans and paint tins are excluded from storage for safety reasons, as are petrol-driven lawnmowers that retain fuel. Washing machines, condenser tumble dryers and dishwashers must be emptied of water, as they may leak. Fridge freezers must be fully defrosted and completely dry.

Keans covers Potters Bar, Barnet, Enfield, North London, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield and the Home Counties. Staff are uniformed and vehicles are sign-written. Full liability insurance is included with removals. The company operates six days a week and offers free quotations.
