Leaways Removals & Storage

About Leaways Removals & Storage

Leaways Removals & Storage is a family-run removals and storage company based in Luton, serving Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. It specialises in moves from flats, bungalows and 1 to 2 bedroom homes, with an expanded van fleet that also supports carefully planned 3 to 4 bedroom moves. The business was created to bridge the gap between large national removals companies and informal man-and-van services, offering specialist planning and fair pricing for smaller homes.

Services include single-item removals, full house moves, packing by the room or whole house, and dismantling and reassembly of furniture. Packing materials supplied are double-wall cardboard boxes, bubble wrap, packing paper, professional tape, furniture blankets, wardrobe boxes and custom wooden crates. For pianos, artwork and other high-value items, the business uses specialist equipment including a piano shoe, heavy-duty quilted covers and protective moving blankets. Packing labour is available from £29 per hour for one packer, and bio-degradable and recycled packing materials can be supplied on request.

Customers receive a fixed price through an online quote calculator based on collection and delivery postcodes, property type, floor level, lift access, inventory, optional dismantling, packing labour and parking distance. Once booked, the price is fixed. A dedicated move coordinator manages each move from booking to completion. The business carries out dedicated cleaning efforts along the River Lea and monitors CO2 emissions from its van fleet, allocating the estimated cost of carbon credits to local conservation work.
