Matthew James Removals is a family-run removals and storage business based in Bexley, now in its fourth generation. It carries out UK removals, European removals and international removals to over 25,000 destinations in 195 countries, plus household and business storage. The business moves families, individuals and corporations across London, Kent and the rest of the UK, and to popular routes including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Australia, the USA, Canada, Dubai and New Zealand.

Matthew James offers three packing levels. Bronze service is for customers who pack fragile items themselves; the business wraps larger items and moves everything. Silver service includes professional packing of china, glassware and valuables alongside customer packing of other goods. The business supplies packing materials and can make custom wooden crates for items valued over £10,000. Every item is tracked through electronic QR-coded inventory systems during transport.

The business has depots in the UK, Madrid, Barcelona and Malaga, and handles customs clearance in-house. Most work is carried out by the company's own crews rather than subcontracted. Each customer is assigned a Move Manager from first contact through to completion. A free survey, either in person or virtual, precedes a written quote. Matthew James holds IAM accreditation, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications, and is a member of the Furniture and Home Improvement Ombudsman.
