RH Removals & Storage

About RH Removals & Storage

RH Removals Ltd is a family-run removals, storage and specialist moving company based near Royal Wootton Bassett and led by Ross Hitchens. The business handles house moves, large property moves, packing, storage and specialist moving across the Cotswolds, Wiltshire, Bath and beyond, with regular moves to London and the Home Counties.

The services listed are local and long-distance house removals, country house and estate moves spread over several days, packing from fragile items only to full house packing, containerised storage in the warehouse or de-mount storage bodies held until the new home is ready, and specialist moves for pianos, heavy items, artwork and properties with difficult access. A survey is carried out first, then the right crew and vehicles are sent for the contents and access. Furniture is wrapped in quilted covers before it leaves the room. China, glass and books are packed into labelled cartons by room, and artwork goes into made-to-measure crates. Clothes travel on hanging rails in wardrobe cartons, and pictures and mirrors are protected separately. Unpacking of key rooms at the new property is available where possible, with materials taken away afterwards.

The fleet includes removal lorries, a lorry and trailer for high-volume moves and de-mount removal bodies that can be lifted off and held. Storage is in wooden containers, handled by forklift in the warehouse. Specialist work includes crane lifts for items too large for stairs, assessment of heavy items such as stone planters, kitchen islands and safes, and crane requirements or indoor scaffolding for difficult access where applicable.
