About Ryans Removals
Ryans Removals is a family removals firm in the Birmingham and Solihull area, founded in 1969 by Tom Ryan, his wife Eileen and their three sons. After Tom Ryan died in 1976, the business was carried on by his wife and two sons, and later by Dave Ryan. It carries out commercial and domestic removals.
In 1998 Dave Ryan's daughter Stacey joined the business as it began its storage and self storage work, and she became office manager. His son Tom joined in January 2000, passed his LGV Class 2 test in August 2004 and drove 7.5 tonne removal trucks. In 2006 Tom attended the BAR estimating course at its headquarters in Watford, and he became the commercial estimator.
In 2010 Ryans Removals Ltd applied for the BS EN 8522 and BS EN 12522 quality standards for domestic and commercial moving and joined the BAR Commercial Moving Group. In 2015 the business invested in three small Maxi Mover vehicles to work in city centres, around hospital, school and council sites.
Ryans Removals continues to offer self storage for the Solihull and Birmingham area, and works closely with corporate customers on commercial moves. The firm describes itself as a main player in the Solihull and Birmingham area.
