About SYMONS & SON Removal and Storage
Symons & Son Removals and Storage is a family-run removals business based in Bideford. Chris and Denise Symons founded the company in 1992, and they were later joined by their son Luke and son-in-law Simon. The business handles local and long-distance removals across the UK for homeowners and commercial customers, from offices and shops to schools, colleges, universities, factories, libraries and hotels.
Services include full house removals, part loads, commercial relocations, packing (full home packing, china and glass, books and utensils, or specialist packing for unusual items), unpacking onto flat surfaces, man and van work in Bideford and surrounding areas, porter hire at an hourly rate, and show house furniture delivery and set-up. The business operates a fleet of five vehicles and offers secure indoor storage at its own private site in Bideford, which is security alarmed. Self-storage with regular access is also available. Packing materials are supplied, including new boxes, second-hand boxes, tape, packing paper, bubble wrap and mattress protectors.
The team comprises experienced staff who undergo regular training and are employed directly by the business. A free quote is offered, with a visit to the property to understand specific needs and take a full inventory of items to be moved. Symons & Son has traded since 1992 and was originally based in Hartland before moving to its current purpose-built head office and warehouse in Bideford.
