About The Removal Company
The Removal Company, also trading as The Removal Company (Scotland) Ltd, is based in Glasgow and operates throughout the UK and Europe. It provides domestic removals, furniture distribution and commercial removals, as well as storage, from a unit on an industrial estate in East Kilbride.
On the day of a move, the crew arrives and the team leader introduces himself and the rest of the team. The team leader manages the removal and deals with any specific requirements. Everything is systematically packed and loaded, with the essentials left until last. Cartons and furniture are moved to the new location in a logical order, and furniture is unwrapped and reassembled if the customer wishes. Mechanical handling equipment takes care of heavier items. Staff are fully trained, with appointed team leaders.
The business is a member of the British Association of Removers and follows its Code of Practice, which is approved and monitored by the Trading Standards Institute. It also adheres to the association's Alternative Dispute Resolution Scheme, operated by the Furniture and Home Improvement Ombudsman. A free conciliation service is part of the Code. A sister firm, the Careful Company, has its own phone line.
