About Theo's tailored transport
Theo's Tailored Transport is a removals and courier business based in Halifax, run by a small hands-on team. It moves homes and offices across West and North Yorkshire and the North West, with Huddersfield, Leeds, York and Manchester as home areas. The business also carries out single-item deliveries, storage moves and courier work for shops and warehouses.
Every job is handled by a two-person team using a 3.5 tonne van with 20 m³ of loading space. Furniture blankets, trolleys, sack barrows, straps and ratchets are carried on every move. Beds and wardrobes are taken apart and rebuilt, and washing machines, cookers and dishwashers are disconnected and reconnected on request. Mattress covers are supplied as standard. Floor runners and stair protection are laid down before anything moves, and doorways and bannisters are padded. Every item is blanket wrapped and strapped before it is lifted, and fragile pieces are wrapped by hand.
The business works through five steps. Customers describe what they are moving and where it is going, receive a clear quote agreed before any lifting starts, and the day is planned around their needs. On moving day, the team protects the property, wraps and loads everything in the right order, and carries items into the rooms chosen. Beds and wardrobes are rebuilt and appliances are reconnected before the team leaves. Packing and unpacking services are available, with all materials included. Theo's Tailored Transport holds goods in transit insurance cover up to £50,000 and public liability cover.
