Man and van cost calculator
Tell it your home size, crew and miles for a rough idea of the hours and the price at typical UK hourly rates, plus parking and any clean air zone charge.
The hourly bands
| Crew | Outside London, an hour | London and the South East |
|---|---|---|
| Driver and van | £35 to £60 | £44 to £75 |
| Two people and a van | £50 to £80 | £62 to £100 |
| Three people and a van | £55 to £90 | £69 to £112 |
From MyBuilder (August 2026, including the three-person band), Fantastic Services (September 2026) and Compare the Man and Van price guides. London figures are 25% higher, in line with Fantastic Services' guide. Most firms have a two-hour minimum, and the estimate allows for it.
What else it adds
The parking fee is the council's own figure for suspending one bay for a day, from our council table, with any application fee. The zone charge is the day rate for a van that does not meet the zone's standard, from our zone table; most vans built since 2016 comply. Firms often pass both on, so ask whether the quote includes them.
