Blackhall Moving and Storage Ltd

About Blackhall Moving and Storage Ltd

Blackhall Moving and Storage Ltd is a family-run removals and storage business based in Edinburgh, set up and owned by Simon Munro with his wife Vicki and son Daniel. The business carries out house moves, flat moves, office relocations, small removals, part removals, packing, secure storage and piano moving, with nationwide coverage and regular London runs.

The business covers Edinburgh and anywhere within the UK. Free surveys are offered in person or by video call, and a written quotation follows. Packing can be done the day before the move or on moving day itself, with free boxes, tape, bubble wrap, mattress bags and sofa covers supplied for removals. Full packing or breakables-only packing is available, and unpacking support can be added at an additional charge. On moving day, the team protects furniture with coverings, loads the vehicle carefully and transports everything to the new property or into secure storage. Furniture such as beds and wardrobes is reassembled at the destination.

Storage is held in sealed wooden containers in a warehouse with 24-hour CCTV and monitored fire and intruder alarms. Containers remain locked and untouched until redelivery is arranged. The business holds Goods in Transit cover up to £50,000 and can arrange parking suspensions with Edinburgh Council where needed. Simon Munro has over 38 years' experience in removals and storage. The fleet meets Low Emission Zone requirements throughout the UK.
