Purdy & Son Removals

About Purdy & Son Removals

Purdy & Son Removals is a family-run removal business based in Sutton. It carries out home removals for properties from studio flats to six-bedroom houses, office relocations at any time of day, and packing and storage services. The business covers all parts of the UK and works nationwide and internationally.

The packing service includes wrapping and labelling all belongings before moving day. Items are packaged with bubble wrap, packing peanuts and custom dividers, and each box is labelled with its destination and contents. The business supplies all packaging materials and delivers them to the property. For storage, possessions are collected, wrapped and prepared, then stored at facilities across London and beyond. All items are inventoried when deposited and withdrawn to ensure they return safely.

Purdy & Son was established in 2007 by Graham and Susan Purdy and is run by their son Joe, who took full control in November 2022. The team includes Joe's sisters Carla, Stacey and Ashley in the office, brother-in-law Marc as Operations Manager, four drivers and six porters. The business is insured. Furniture removal specialists handle delicate pieces, and the team can disassemble and reassemble items such as wardrobes and tables. Free quotes are available by contact form, email or phone.
